Description (Service) National historic site * in 1848-1849, Bellevue House was the home of Canada's First Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald * the house has been restored to the fashion of the 1840s and is a beautiful example of Italianate villa architecture * group tours are available throughout the year
