Description (Service) On-site early intervention and crisis intervention * needs assessment * safety planning * referrals to community services * enhanced support for vulnerable victims * assistance with applications to VQRP+

Victim Quick Response Program+ (VQRP+) -- assistance with emergency expenses related to the incident, including home safety, accommodation, meals, transportation, basic necessities, dependent care costs, counselling, traditional Indigenous health services, cellular phones, vision care, dental care, aids for victims with disabilities, interpretation services, crime scene cleanup, government/medical documents and funeral expenses * additional assistance for victims of human trafficking includes storage locker, tattoo removal, and treatment at a recovery facility * no direct reimbursement to victims for support listed above * financial support also available for victims who sustained serious physical injuries during a crime and for parents of child homicide victims and spouses of homicide victims

Human Trafficking Program: Immediate assistance for victims of human trafficking including on-going support, emergency expenses related to safety and recovery, and referrals to appropriate services

Family Court Support Worker Program: information on the family court process * assistance in preparing for family court proceedings (documenting history of abuse, accessing Legal Aid) * referral to specialized services and supports in the community * safety planning * court accompaniment to proceedings when appropriate

Senior Safety Program: safety planning for seniors * offers on site safety planning for seniors to help make their home less desirable to criminals * information kits for seniors with safety planning tips also provided

Mobile Tracking Program: GPS enabled tracking devices for high risk victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking & harassment and elder abuse * safety planning * ongoing support

STAR Program: Supporting Teens At Risk * ongoing support for teenage victims of crime and trauma including historical events * information and referral

Eligibility Victims of crime and tragic circumstances * VQRP -- victims, immediate family members, and witnesses in the direct aftermath of violent crimes * Family Court Support Worker Program -- victims of domestic violence involved in the family court process
Application Referral by police, emergency services, community agency or self referral * in most cases, consent of the client is obtained before providing service * on-scene immediate assistance requests are from police, fire and paramedics only * follow-up, on-going support and referral requests are handled through the main office during regular business hours * individuals can self-refer from our website
