Description & Services
Description (Service) Government program to help children with developmental or physical disabilities to live at home with their families * provides funding on a time-limited basis to address individual needs and which may be used for family relief and support and/or personal development and growth * families can purchase support services which they could not normally provide themselves or that are not available elsewhere in the community 
 
Examples of cases when financial assistance is provided include: travel to doctors and hospitals * special shoes and clothing * parental relief * wheelchair repairs * hearing aid batteries * basic dental care * drugs * eyeglasses * hearing aids
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5 pm * appointment necessary in most cases
Areas Served Frontenac County ; Hastings County ; Kingston ; Lanark County ; Leeds and Grenville United Counties ; Lennox and Addington County ; Ottawa (City of) ; Prescott and Russell United Counties ; Prince Edward County ; Renfrew ; Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and under 
 
Children up to 18 years of age who live at home with a parent or a legal guardian * the income of a family will be evaluated to determine qualification * must have a severe disability that results in a functional loss * extraordinary costs that are incurred directly as a result of the disability must be present
