Description (Service) Ontario's Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) provides right of access to information held by municipal governments, including municipal records, while protecting personal information about individuals.  
The public is encouraged to direct requests for information to the city department concerned. * If a request for information is denied, a formal request can be made under MFIPPA to the City Clerk's Department. * Also has access to historical and archival information.
