Description (Service) Well-trained and temperament tested canine ambassadors and their trained handlers visit people in hospitals, special needs programs or in long-term care facilities, post secondary institutions, shelters and anywhere a therapy dog can provide a benefit
Hours Administration Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm * Program hours vary
Areas Served Frontenac County ; Kingston - area ; Lennox and Addington County
Boundaries Highway 7/15 - excluding Smiths Falls (North) to USA (South) * Napanee (West) to Gananoque (East)
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
 
Volunteers must be 18 years and older * Dogs must be at least 1 year old, live at their current address for at least 6 months and may not be restricted breed as defined by Bill 132 (there is no size restriction for participating canines)
Application Police Vulnerable Sector Check required * Dogs must have proof of current vaccinations (including rabies) and be certified in good health by a veterinarian and successfully complete St. John Ambulance's Therapy Dog Evaluation * dogs in the program are carefully evaluated to ensure good temperament
