Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides funding to assist individuals and families to stay housed or secure housing * funding is in the form of a non-repayable grant that prevents an upcoming eviction, or assists with moving to permanent housing if homeless 
Applicants must commit to: 
* developing a plan to avoid future dependency on the fund 
* providing documentation supporting their application 
* consenting to the sharing of information related to the application prior to the approval of funding amounts

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
* Families, singles, seniors and special needs households who are residents of Kingston or the County of Frontenac 
* Applicants must have applied through an approved agency 
* Applicants must have a total household income below the income levels listed below 
* Applicants must not be in receipt of Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) assistance 
* Maximum funding limits are $1,200 every 24 months for individuals and $2,400 for families every 24 months 
Income limits 
* one person: less than $29,000 per year 
* two person: less than $35,500 per year 
* three persons: less than $40,000 per year 
* four or more persons: less than $48,500 per year.
Application * All applicants must complete a written application form and provide supporting information and documentation as required; 
* All applicants must sign a Release of Information as part of the Application Form; 
* Referrals from all local agencies will be considered; 
* Applicants living in North, Central and South Frontenac Townships will apply to the Southern Frontenac Community Services Corporation for assistance; 
* Applicants living within the Municipal boundaries of the City of Kingston and the Frontenac Islands will apply to the Salvation Army, Community & Family Services.
