Description & Services
Description (Service) Offers playgroups, workshops, drop in daycare, resources, early intervention and family support 
Playgroups : A facilitator-educator offers a variety of activities to promote children's overall development and socialization (crafts, games, songs, etc). Interactive workshops on various topics are also regularly offered during the playgroups. Offered at Le Carrousel, 431 St-Laurent Blvd; École Jean-Robert-Gauthier, 651 Chapman Mills pr. 
Drop-in daycare: Available at 431 St Laurent Blvd. Ratio of one educator for five students, with a maximum of 15 children at a time. 
Early intervention services and family support: available through all the City of Ottawa. The service includes a home visit, coaching, support to strengthen parental skills, distribution of other resources' pamphlets, referrals to many community services and professionals, and loans of toys, books/CDs and educational material for children. Principally aimed at families with young children and/or newcomers to Canada. 
Workshops: Offered to parents, caregivers and professionnals. These workshops focus on the daily challenges that may face parents and caregivers in the education of young children. It deals with discipline, parenting style or the overall development of children.

Le Carrousel: Tue, Thu 9 am-11:30 am 
École Jean-Robert-Gauthier: Mon, Wed, Fri 9 am-11:30 am 
Drop-in daycare: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30 am-12 noon

Eligibility Ages: 6 year(s) and under 
Playgroups: francophone children 6 years and under, accompanied by an adult 
Drop in daycare: children 18 months-5 years old from a francophone or exogamous (with one francophone parent) family 
Early intervention: francophone families or exogamous with children 6 years and under

Drop in daycare: 
* Regular attendance: the parent can reserve a date and the amount of child care needed in advance, which guarantees the child's space. To register, call 613-789-3020 ext 238. 
* Occasional attendance: the parent reserves the place of the child before 3 pm on the day before the child's presence at the day care by calling 613-789-3020 ext 238. Access granted if there is room available.
