Description (Service) Emergency childcare services * after hours care provided by Home Watch Caregivers (see separate record for more information) for families living in Ontario or by the Service à domicile de l’Outaouais for families living in Quebec 
Deployment Respite Childcare: respite childcare allowance of $50 per month is available for spouses whose partner is presently away due to military obligation * allowance must be pre-approved

Eligibility Military families living in the National Capital Region * Deployment Respite Childcare: spouses whose partner is presently away due to military obligation including IR, course, training, tasking or deployment
Application Emergency child care: call the resource centre during office hours; after hours, call the appropriate home watch centre  
Deployment Respite Childcare: call and ask to speak to the Family Separation and Reunion Counsellor, or send an email to, to seek approval * form is available on the website * expenses must be submitted within 30 dyas of incurring the expense
