Support and development of self-government institutions of Indigenous people

Aboriginal Health Babies Healthy Children: encourages optimum child development from pregnancy to age six, increases knowledge and strengthen skills for healthy decision making, play based learning activities, parenting skills, referrals and advocacy, home visits, and access to developmental supports

Community Support Services Program: medical transportation, friendly visiting, security checks, caregiver support, and community support (advocacy and referrals) * culturally appropriate services

Community Wellness Program: works closely with individuals and families to reduce the risk and incidence of family violence, promotes knowledge and skills leading to better health outcomes, crisis intervention, peer counselling, wellness planning, referrals and advocacy, and home visits

Mental Health and Addictions Program: helps identify mental health goals and develop a plan to overcome challenges related to mental health and addictions in a holistic way

Employment and Training and Education Branch: career counselling, employment readiness training, wage subsidies, apprenticeship support, mobility assistance, self-employment, youth initiatives and services for clients with disabilities

Aging at Home Program: 55+ Indigenous Seniors * light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, transportation (non-medical), meal preparation post-surgery, snow and lawn contracted services (based on financial assessment).
