Description (Service) Kente Public School, “The place from which to go forward,” is a rural school located near the village of Ameliasburgh in Prince Edward County, in a very spacious country setting. It serves 281 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. School programs focus on character education, literacy and numeracy in a safe and healthy learning environment. 
 
Kente Public School has an automated library resource centre, a gymnasium, three play fields, computer labs and a multi-purpose room. Students are educated to become confident, responsible citizens. At Kente PS, activities that show caring and celebrate learning include: Terrific Kids assemblies, STAR reading, sports tournaments, instrumental music for our intermediate students and book fairs. Kente Public School is a Healthy Active School Community. Students, staff and a very active parent group support charities such as the Terry Fox Foundation, UNICEF, and Christmas Sharing Program. 
 
Kente PS students proceed to Grades 9 at a secondary school in Prince Edward County, Belleville or Trenton.
