Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides information and support to persons dealing with the challenges of dementia * Includes family and professional caregivers, persons living with dementia and the general public * works with neighbouring Societies in presenting public forums, a caregiver retreat and a workshop for persons living with dementia * has a wide variety of brochures and information pamphlets, along with a lending library * An Education and Support co-ordinator will make home and office visits to discuss a family's challenges with dementia and help plan for future needs * works closely with other community resources, such as Providence Care outreach teams, the Family Health Team, Community Care for Seniors to make referrals to appropriate resources * is a source for the MedicAlert Safely Home (MASH) program to register persons with dementia, in case of wandering risks.
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
