|Description & Services|
|Description (Service)||Flying Club is based at Picton Airport. Programs include offering fly-in breakfasts from April to October * During the summer, the Club hosts a lunch for Air Cadets who are involved in nearby glider training at the Airport * Annual supporter of the COPA for Kids aviation program which provides a free-of-charge, motivational experience that helps encourage young people to explore the science of flight.
Picton Airport is a former WW II training airfield, and retains many of its original wartime buildings. As with many airfields of that period, the runways are the familiar triangular layout so cross-wind landings and take-offs can be undertaken without too much difficulty.
Today Picton Airport is a privately owned operation, and is a Prior Permission Required (PPR) airport. During Flight planning, it's imperative that you contact Loch-Sloy Management: 613-476-3064 (available 24/7). Check NOTAMs for more details. PPR not required for fly-in events.
Please note that no fuel or other aviation services are available at Picton Airport.
