Description (Service) Our Not for Profit organization has served the children and families of Prince Edward County since 1989. Our organization is dedicated to providing the families of the County with quality early learning and child care services. This is done through the provision of a number of programs and services focusing on children 0-12 years old. It is a Registered Charity. 
Prince Edward Child Care Services currently has four main program areas: 
Ontario Early Years Centre and Resource Centre: The Centre provides the basis for all of our early learning program support. Families and children are engaged through regular play groups, specialized parent and child groups, parent education, pre natal education and support, provision of enhanced support for special needs children,  
Licensed Child Care: Our licensed child care program consists of regular centre based child care as well as preschool programs located in 5 area elementary schools. Prince Edward Child Care Services is currently the only licensed child care provider in the county.  
School Age Program: Our School Age Program focuses on children between the ages of 6 and 12. This program area encompasses 5 Before and After School programs in area elementary schools and a newly established Summer Day Camp with 3 locations providing access for families all across our rural community. The program is continuing to develop additional focused opportunities for families and children with in this age group.  
Home Child Care Program: Our Home Child Care Program provides support and guidance to home based caregivers throughout Prince Edward County. The program offers parents a supervised; home based, licensed child care options conveniently located throughout the county.
