Description (Service) Community Services Provider * Administers Ontario Works, Social Housing and Children Services * Ontario Works provides employment & financial assistance to qualified applicants * Social Housing provides access to affordable housing to qualified applicants based on availability * Children Services provides Child Care listings, subsidies, before & after school programming information & parent resources.

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) - 65 year(s) 
 
Employable youth ages 16-17 year(s) and up who cannot live at home but are attending school or seeking employment. Financial need is determined by a review of income, liquid assets and living expenses. 
Youth and Adults 18 – 65 years who are not caring for pre-school age children or who do not have a serious disability or illness must participate in employment assistance activities and meet financial criteria. 
Each member of the household must meet at least one of the following criteria: member is a Canadian Citizen, member has made an application for status as a permanent resident under the immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada), or member has made a claim for refugee protection under the immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada), member is able to live independently and make own arrangements for supportive services. Application Ontario Works, Housing or Child Care telephone 613-771-9630 or Toll Free 1-866-414-0300 during regular business hours Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff will help you complete an application over the phone which can take approximately 30 minutes, depending on call volume. You must have a valid Social Insurance Number to apply. Online applications can be processed 24 hours a day.
